Our little Lincoln Anderson made his grand entrance on October 20th. He is such a cutie and such a blessing in our lives. So here's the details...
On Saturday the 19th Andy and I did a 5k walk through his work in attempts to "walk into labor". We finished the walk and enjoyed the rest of our Saturday and went on about a 2 mile walk to go pick up a Redbox movie (which was crappy...) and while watching the movie I noticed that my "Braxton Hicks" were a little more intense than normal. So we went to bed and I woke up at about 3:30 and they were definitely a little more intense... I tried timing them and came up with maybe 6-7 minutes in between. I woke up Andy and I got frustrated trying to time them so I told him we should just go back to bed. At 6:30 I woke up with them being even more intense and they were about every 3-4 minutes, maybe? So we took our time getting up, showered, packed up the rest of hospital stuff and got Buckley ready to go to Andy's mom's.
We got to the hospital at about 7:45 went to get checked out and made sure we were actually in labor. After 7 hours and about 25 minutes of pushing at 4:33 pm our little baby boy made his grand entrance into the world. He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz (the biggest of the two grandbabies!) and was 19 in.
Since leaving the hospital Andy and I have somewhat adjusted to our new lives as being parents of a newborn, but I think we're doing a pretty good job at it.
I miss being pregnant though! I love having Lincoln here, but I want to be pregnant and have him. But I had an awesome pregnancy so that is a huge factor in that. I never once got sick. I never got stretch marks. I never had a "waddle". I wore my skinny jeans until the very end. Never had swollen feet (just hands, but only at night). I could go on, but I'll try not make people jealous. And just wait my next pregnancy will probably be horrible and then you all can relish in that.
Here's some pictures... More to come in later posts. Hey! I have a baby now and I probably won't be up to date with things... =)
