He's Here!

Our little Lincoln Anderson made his grand entrance on October 20th. He is such a cutie and such a blessing in our lives.  So here's the details...
On Saturday the 19th Andy and I did a 5k walk through his work in attempts to "walk into labor".  We finished the walk and enjoyed the rest of our Saturday and went on about a 2 mile walk to go pick up a Redbox movie (which was crappy...) and while watching the movie I noticed that my "Braxton Hicks" were a little more intense than normal.  So we went to bed and I woke up at about 3:30 and they were definitely a little more intense... I tried timing them and came up with maybe 6-7 minutes in between.  I woke up Andy and I got frustrated trying to time them so I told him we should just go back to bed.  At 6:30 I woke up with them being even more intense and they were about every 3-4 minutes, maybe?  So we took our time getting up, showered, packed up the rest of hospital stuff and got Buckley ready to go to Andy's mom's.
We got to the hospital at about 7:45 went to get checked out and made sure we were actually in labor.  After 7 hours and about 25 minutes of pushing at 4:33 pm our little baby boy made his grand entrance into the world.  He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz (the biggest of the two grandbabies!) and was 19 in.
Since leaving the hospital Andy and I have somewhat adjusted to our new lives as being parents of a newborn, but I think we're doing a pretty good job at it.
I miss being pregnant though! I love having Lincoln here, but I want to be pregnant and have him.  But I had an awesome pregnancy so that is a huge factor in that.  I never once got sick.  I never got stretch marks.  I never had a "waddle".  I wore my skinny jeans until the very end.  Never had swollen feet (just hands, but only at night).  I could go on, but I'll try not make people jealous.  And just wait my next pregnancy will probably be horrible and then you all can relish in that.
Here's some pictures... More to come in later posts.  Hey! I have a baby now and I probably won't be up to date with things... =)

37 Weeks

37 Weeks! Crazy! We had an ultrasound last week as well as a non stress test (no I don't know the difference between a stress and non stress test...) because my belly is still measuring at 33 cm (should line up with how many weeks you are).  So technically my stomach has not grown since 33 weeks.  So they wanted to look at Baby and see how he was growing and if his heart is still reacting well.  Non stress test came back great- he's a great mover and his heart beat increases with his movements and comes back to a good resting heart rate.  The ultrasound has him at 5 lb 10 oz which is in the 24th percentile for weight, so small, but I say Andy and I are both small... a small baby makes sense.  We are having another ultrasound tomorrow (Wednesday) just to check up on him and see if he's growing at all and to see if they can get better measurements on his head... Remember when I told you he likes to ride low? His little head is already in my pelvic cavity and all set to come out... but that also gives us an inaccurate or hard to tell picture of his head.  The last ultrasound had his head measuring small, but one measurement was clear and the other was not so clear... So I guess we'll see.  (I say a small but healthy head sounds good to me)  So no big concerns, it will just be a week by week thing from here on out.  Weekly pictures... No big differences but gotta continue what I started.

OH! And I had another shower on the 29th thrown by JoyAnna and Heidi from church.  It was really sweet and super thoughtful and fun.  My mom even came in to surprise me so she could be there too! We had a great 4 ish days together and finished baby shopping and putting the last pieces of the nursery together.
