Andy's 26!

Andy's 26th birthday was May 19th.  Since graduation was just the day before his family and my family were there to help celebrate.  To start off the day we went and ate the best barbecue around: Bogarts.  Stanley and Gregg obviously joined us.  After our bellies were full and Stanley was in full nap mode we took about an hour car ride to Meramec Caverns.  It was pretty cool (literally it's about 58 degrees in there). He He... We went to dinner at an Ethiopian place (Andy enjoyed it, which is good because it was his birthday, I on the other hand thoroughly did not.). To end the night we sang Happy Birthday and Andy blew out his candles on his Mint Oreo ice cream cake.
Stalagmites? I don't know I think they look gross.

Andy's Graduation

So posts are going to come all at once for a while, just because I haven't updated in a while and we have a lot to cover, so I apologize for the many posts to come in a short period of time, BUT I know you all love to read about our life...

So as I wrote before, on May 18th Andy graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis.  I am very proud of him and all the hard work he put into it.  His graduation was at the Chase Park Plaza and both our families came to celebrate his accomplishments. Here's a few pictures...
Us and Andy's family: Obviously the memo of which camera to look at  was unclear...

Me and the Grad (I think graduation garb is some of the most ridiculous things you will ever wear, look at that cap!)

Us and my family (Dad's wearing contacts!!!)

A blog would not be complete without the presence of Buckley: he too graduated, finally finished his thesis.

The obvious

Stanley, Gregg, and Andy: all that's missing is me! (I'm taking the photo, drat being a wonderful wife and photographer!)

New Home

So we arrived safely at our new home here in Richland, WA.  We have a new super nice place that we are loving very much.  Despite the fact that we have absolutely NONE of our stuff minus a computer, printer, and some clothes...  We are currently sleeping on an air mattress in an unbearably BARE apartment...  Hopefully, fingers crossed our stuff will arrive on Wednesday of this next week (then I will post updated pictures of everything set up).  Andy and I took our time getting out here and stopped at a few places along the way: Badlands National Park, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and a few more (I'll post pictures soon, I'm without the computer that I usually do editing on).  New post. Another day.  Well I thought you all would enjoy to see our new digs so here's what it looks like at this moment...
Buckley Welcomes You Into Our New Home.

2nd Bedroom, I like to call it the nursery (not because of the flowers, nor because I'm pregnant(I'm Not))

This is when you enter, to the left is the front closet and living room and to the right is the nursery

Master Bedroom, note no furniture and air mattress...
View from the inside of the bedroom: Walk in closet and smaller closet to the left

Bathroom

View from our bedroom: hallway with storage bathroom to the right, nursery to the left and front door straight ahead

Our living room: note no furniture and fireplace!

Our dining room and kitchen: Note no furniture... and yup...

Kitchen, pretty outdated stove and look, but more counter space than our last apt!

This is to the right of our kitchen... So our water heater broke our first day in the place that's why the washer and dryer are off to the side... So this was a big bummer, BUT we have a BRAND new water heater now so hopefully no more flooding and hot water!
Hope you enjoyed! I hope to do stuff to the front of our place, so once I get some flowers planted (and make that look as pretty as the 84 year old neighbor next door's garden) I'll post a picture of the front of our place.

Lasts

Today is my last day as a teller at Royal Banks of Missouri! Hooray! I'm so sorry for the lack of posting in the last month or so, but obviously with everything going on it has been quite hard. I'm hoping that once we are settled in our new apartment (yes! we have one already!) in Richland WASHINGTON that I will have time to do a few posts and maybe actually put some updated pictures up! (It seems like it has been FOREVER since I have posted ANY pictures... for a budding photographer it just seems ridiculous that I havent...) *(By the way if anyone wants to give us a new computer so I can add pictures more easily we would not turn it down!)* So anyways a quick rundown of what will be happening from now until the next time I will hopefully be posting:

  • Andy graduates as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Wash U on Friday May 18th
  • Andy turns 26 on May 19th
  • We celebrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary on May 22nd
  • The Big Move begins on May 23rd/24th
  • Movers will take our stuff for us and Andy and I are taking advantage of the trip to visit a few places on the way including Yellowstone
  • May 27th-29th(ish) we will arrive to our new apartment in Richland (hopefully our stuff will meet us there too)
  • Andy starts his job at Kadlec Regional Medical Center on June 4th, I may or may not start looking for a job... =)
Well I hope this satisfies most of you for the time being!
Over and Out.

Big Things are Happening

So it's been super long and no pictures... I've been getting frustrated with my computer and I don't feel like wasting my time with it at this moment...

Anyways...

Big things are happening around here...

We took a vacation the last week in February to Seattle to visit Amy, Brandon, Chris and Melissa. Then we headed over to the Tri-cities for an interview. Andy interviewed at Kadlec Hospital for a part in-patient part out-patient position. We then went to visit my family in Schaumburg.
Andy went to Colorado the other week for an interview at an out-patient clinic..

And we decided to take the Richland, Washington job at Kadlec!
So Andy graduates May 18th and we will be moving out west sometime after that!

Big things are happening.

The sixteenth of this month he's going to Colorado Springs for another interview and then we will make our big decision. Exciting times.

Go Saint Louis Half Marathon

Half Marathon training has begun! Monday marked my 12 week start to the Go Saint Louis half which takes place on Sunday April 15th at 7am. This year I'm attempting to break 2 hours... Yikes! Wish me luck!

On the knee front: we went to the doc today and he said he's making great progress and to Andy's happiness he can start to bend his knee! Hooray!
